About Lorraine U. Martinelle
Lorraine U. Martinelle is an introverted (yet a little extroverted) higher education communications professional with more than 25 years of experience in journalism, media relations, marketing communications, and storytelling. Throughout her career, she has managed communications efforts for six public and private colleges and universities, helping to promote student success, faculty expertise, research, events, and institutional initiatives.
Lorraine holds an MBA with a concentration in marketing from Assumption University and a bachelor's degree in journalism from the University of Massachusetts Amherst.
The Quiet Communicator is the first in a planned series of guides focused on helping sort of shy, early-career professionals build portfolios, develop communications skills, and launch successful careers in public relations and higher education marketing.
